Nestled just outside of Red Rock Canyon, this location is a favorite for photographers and clients alike. With its dramatic desert scenery, stunning mountain views, and unique cascading rock formations, it’s truly one of a kind. The main road offers an ideal setting for bold, center-of-the-road shots, perfect for creating storytelling imagery that stands out.

Seasonal Highlights:

• Spring: Vibrant purple and yellow wildflowers add pops of color to your photos.
• Summer: Warm and sunny, but early morning or late evening sessions are best to avoid the heat.
• Fall: Distant trees with changing colors enhance the desert’s natural beauty.
• Winter: Occasionally graced with snowfall, creating stunning contrast against the red rocks.

What You Need to Know:

• Terrain: Dirt paths are common. Closed-toe shoes are highly recommended as shoes will get dusty—be sure to inform your group beforehand.
• Nature: It’s highly likely you’ll encounter donkeys during your session, as well as their droppings, so be mindful.
• Accessibility: Easy-to-reach spots make it suitable for all ages.
• Caution: Watch out for cacti, especially with little ones.

Editing: I don’t usually do a lot of location enhancements at this spot, but occasionally, I’ll add a creative touch if the image calls for it or if I’m feeling particularly inspired. For example, I’ve added rushing water streams before, and the results have been absolutely stunning!

Wardrobe Tips:
Earthy tones, flowy dresses, rompers, and boho or cottage-core styles work beautifully here. This location is perfect for maternity, family, couples, children, and newborn sessions.
